In an interview with the DG SANTE newsletter, Dr Andrzej Rys, European Commission Director of Health Systems, Medical Products and Innovation, confirmed the Commission's recognition of the health workforce as the foundation of the healthcare system and the commitment to continue EU-level policy action on this topic in continuation of the SEPEN joint tender. He highlighted the impact of mobility on nationals systems and the need to create mechanisms to manage planning.
