EFID Webinar on Dementia and Migration

The European Foundations' Initiative on Dementia (EFID) has launched a series of webinars on dementia. Join the next webinar on dementia and migration on 12th September at 2 pm CET. EFID is a joint project initiated in 2010 by a group of European foundations. Over the past years, EFID has taken up the challenge to deepen the work on dementia-friendly communities (DFC) not only by working on the promotion of the concept, but also by mainstreaming empowerment and inclusion of people with dementia as cornerstones of its approach. In 2019, EFID launched a series of webinars to discuss crucial topics related to dementia. During the next webinar on 12th September we will discuss daily challenges related to the work on dementia and migration and discover the findings of the research carried out at European level by Alzheimer Europe. What are the challenges of being a migrant living with dementia? How do families and people with dementia with migration background deal with dementia in hosting countries? What is the prevalence of dementia in people with migration background? Don't miss the opportunity to ask questions, share best practices and learn new approaches to involve and support people with dementia with a migration background into our communities.
