This month our colleagues and friends from the RCSI Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery in Dublin, Ireland are proud to introduce their TEAMCARE Project.
TEAMCARE is an EU initiative funded by the European Commission that brings together 12 partners representing education and training providers, healthcare authorities, employment and educational research, public authorities, and European networks to develop a new EU Curriculum for health and social care professionals delivering person-centered care in the community. Overall, the project seeks to train health and social care professionals in transversal, digital skills and common baseline competences, enabling them to work effectively as a team in undertaking effective multidimensional patient assessments and tailoring personalised care plans.
Accordingly, the curriculum will be multidisciplinary and interprofessional, based on the main EU Vocational Education and Training standards and supporting micro-credentials. Its flexibility for adoption in different countries will be tested and validated through four Higher Education pilot courses implemented in Greece, Ireland, Italy and Poland.
The project consortium features the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland), University of Genoa, ITD-CNU, Si4Life, ALISA (Italy), WIAB (Austria), ECTE, 7thHRC, HMU (Greece), Medical University Lodz (Poland), and the interregional Reference Site Collaborative Network (RSCN) which is comprised of References Sites recognised by the European Commission as well as Regions intending applying for Reference Site status.
We invite all INHWE members to visit the project website and contact their communication team for inquiries (here).
