Tackling the imperative: Moving interprofessional education from the periphery to the core
We are pleased to announce the first meeting of the AoME Insights series, a knowledge-rich round of webinars, workshops and panel discussions addressing topics of interest to the global community of medical and healthcare educators. On Tuesday 23rd November 2021 from 4PM GMT, this first meeting will focus on the priorities for supporting and improving education for interprofessional working within healthcare. The event will help participants to reflect on the particular skills and expertise demonstrated during interprofessional education, and how these reflect an advance on generic education skills; discuss the role of regulators and employers in supporting and developing the role of healthcare educators involved in delivery of interprofessional learning programmes; compare and critique current processes for recognising and developing interprofessional educators’ skills, and propose possible future developments.
The event is free to attend and the full biographies of the speakers can be found here. Interested parties are also invited to provide suggestions for a topic they would like to see covered by AOME Insights. On behalf of the INHWE community, we send our best wishes to all members involved for a successful event!
