Welcome Coffee

Fancy a coffee and a chat? Join us at the Congress Centre every morning for friendly, informal networking over a hot drink and a sweet treat. The welcome coffee is scheduled 30 minutes before the daily programme starts. It is open to all registered participants, INHWE members and non-members alike, and is free to attend. Just bring your smile and a fistful of business cards!

Opening Reception

Come celebrate to kick off the International Congress of Health Education and Research! The INHWE invites all delegates, speakers and special guests to the Opening Reception on Tuesday 27th June 2017. Network your way through an evening with live music, light food, refreshing cocktails, and friendly conversation. Connect with health workforce education leaders at this social event to take place in the lush botanical garden of Ordem dos Medicos.

Dress code: Smart Casual. Please note this social event is included in the registration fee.

Tennis with David

"When you tennis with the Director, you don’t just have to lose, you also have to make it look good!". The Congress Centre's leisure and sports areas include two tennis hard courts, where the sportiest delegates are invited to test the accuracy of their backswings and passing shots by challenging Director David Smith and his fierce "serve and volley" strategy.

If you are interested in participating, please note you must bring your own tennis equipment and shower kit. It is not possible to rent any equipment from the registration desk or Congress Centre.
