In 2010, the World Health Organisation acknowledged that after almost 50 years of enquiry, that there is sufficient evidence to indicate that effective interprofessional education enables effective collaborative practice. The aims of the Interprofessional Education and Training working group is to encourage discussion and research. Interprofessional education has been defined by the Centre for the Advancement of Interprofessional Education in the UK as when two or more professions learn with, from and about each other to improve collaborative practice and quality of care (CAIPE 2002).

This working group will seek to:

  • promote best practice
  • create a community of educators and practitioners
  • encourage and support innovation in IPE discuss and disseminate IPE and Training
