Representatives from 53 countries gathered at the 73rd session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe in Astana, Kazakhstan, have unanimously adopted a resolution in support of a Framework for action on the health and care workforce in the WHO European Region, covering the years 2023 to 2030. The framework reiterates that urgent action is required to retain and recruit health and care workers, especially in rural and underserved area, which is one of the main focus of OASES, a 3-year long research project co-funded by the Health Programme of the EU, for which INHWE leads the work package on project evaluation.
