The Digital Doc' thematic network held their second webinar on the Health Policy Platform on 24 September 2020. Representing the European Commission and the Health Policy Platform team, Irene Athanassoudis opened the webinar, reminding participants that Digital Doc focuses on actions needed to integrate digital skills in the education and training curricula of medical doctors and to prepare future and current doctors to cope and contribute to the digital healthcare transformation. The network is committed, she said, to produce a joint statement that identifies the challenges and provides for recommendations to create an optimal context to achieve the abovementioned objectives. The first panellist was Jarmo Reponen, medical doctor, PHD professor, and project leader of the MEDigi project, from the University of Oulu in Finland. The second panelist was Georg Dorffner, PHD doctor and project leader of the DSKC, from the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. The third panelist was Sophia Hodgkinson, EMSA Health Policy Director, and member of the European Medical Students' Association (EMSA). After the speakers' presentations, Andrea Woltman, PhD Thematic Network Leader Digital Doc, Director of Bachelor in Medicine, Erasmus MC University Medical Center Rotterdam, moderated the questions and replies.
