Strengthening the EU's competitiveness in health requires an increased investment in the workforce and governance
On 2 February 2022, the European Public Health Association (EUPHA) and the European Health Management Association (EHMA) launched a Joint Statement "Strengthening the EU’s competitiveness in health requires an increased investment in the workforce and governance". The statement highlights the importance of investing in public health governance, listening to the needs of the health workforce, as well as empowering and involving patients in the decision-making processes. Additionally, the statement underlines the need to build health systems that are resilient and flexible.
