We would like to draw your attention to a recent international publication entitled "The Support of Early-Career Researchers in Health Professions Education – an Expert Position Statement".
Open Access: https://inhwe.org/sites/default/files/documents/The%20Support%20of%20ECRs%20in%20HPE.pdf
The position paper deals with the promotion of practitioners, scientists and managers who are involved in teaching and learning in the health professions – a discipline known internationally as Health Professions Education (HPE). Written by 19 experts from ten countries, the position paper identifies five key areas for action to strengthen and further develop academic careers in HPE in the long term. The publication has appeared in the journal Frontiers in Medicine and the authors are convinced that this publication makes a well-founded contribution to the current discussion on structural conditions, equal opportunities and career development for educators, researchers and managers in the qualification of health professions at the international level. We also hope that it will provide impetus for internationally compatible development in this still young discipline, especially in Germany.
We'd like to congratulate our members Doreen Herinek and Michael Ewers of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, Germany, on getting this important paper published.
