Congress Centre of the Ordem dos Medicos

The International Congress of Health Workforce Education and Research will take place in the magnificent grounds of Ordem dos Medicos, which is located in the surroundings of the historical city centre of Porto, Portugal. The Congress Centre provides fully equipped meeting spaces, a stylish congress environment, and parking for vehicles with direct access to the Centre’s convention and exhibition facilities.

Sport and Leisure Activities

The International Congress of Health Education and Research can be much more than a meeting site for sharing knowledge and experiences, since the Congress Centre has two leisure and sports areas: an outdoor swimming pool and two tennis courts. The participants are allowed to make use of both upon payment of a fee (swimming pool is by person, tennis court is by the hour), on a first-come first-served basis. For the swimming pool, the single ticket costs EUR 5.00 and for the tennis court the fee is EUR 6.00 by the hour for the maximum of 4 people simultaneously. To buy your tickets, please ask the registration desk. If interested, please remember to bring your own towels, along with your own swimming suit and shower kit. If you are interested in playing tennis, please note you must bring your own tennis equipment and shower kit. It is not possible to rent any equipment from the registration desk or Congress Centre.

Internet Connection

Wireless Internet service will be made available at the Congress Centre of Ordem dos Medicos throughout the event. The service is offered for free to all registered attendees by the International Network for Health Workforce Education. The log in details will be circulated among the participants together with a detailed info package.
