Conference Grants

Due to very kind sponsorship by our host organisation, the School of Medicine at the European University Cyprus, the International Network for Health Workforce Education is delighted to be able to offer two grant schemes to attend the 2nd International Congress of Health Workforce Education and Research taking place in Nicosia, Cyprus from Thursday 9th May 2019 to Friday 10th May 2019. Both schemes, Early Career and Local Delegation, will receive completely free entrance to the event along with further benefits that will be announced closer to the time. Both schemes are offered on a first come first served basis (subject to eligibility) with a final deadline of Friday 26th April. So apply right away!

Early Career Grant

To apply for an Early Career Grant and be eligible for free entrance to the conference, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Have worked as an educator for less than 6 years and/or completed a PhD no longer than 6 years previously*
  • Active in research into and/or education of health professionals
  • Be a member of the International Network for Health Workforce Education (register for free membership here)

Local Delegation Grant

To apply for the Local Delegation Grant and be eligible for free entrance to the conference, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Work in Cyprus or be a Cypriot National
  • Active in research into and/or education of health professionals
  • A member of the International Network for Health Workforce Education (register for free membership here)

Applicants must support their own travel and accommodation for the event. Submitters will be notified on the 1st March and should submit their application via the following online form: https://inhwe.org/conference-grants-form

 

*Individuals still completing their PhD (either part-time or full-time) may also apply

Note: These grants are not eligible to delegates who have been selected for oral presentation in the Conference programme.
